Reconnect with nature in our neighborhood bird sanctuary!
Join us to spy on some birds as they do bird stuff in the bird sanctuary and around the library: woodpeckers, warblers, chickadees, and titmice regularly visit the mature oaks, and hawks like to stop by, too! Bring your questions about birds, we'll supply the ornithologist. This will be a leisurely stroll around the property enjoying nature and learning something so wear walking shoes.
We have some basic binoculars, but for the best birding experience we recommend borrowing some or reserving one of our Audubon kits from the Library of things. Reserve your kit here.
The restroom will be open for patron use and staff will be on hand to deal with emergencies, but the library itself will be open during the regular posted hours. This is a family friendly event, but all minors must please be accompanied by an adult. Waivers are required for each person attending this program.
