Join us for a unique Slow Looking experience at your local library! Inspired by the Slow Art Movement, this program invites participants to engage deeply with artwork currently on view at the Tampa Museum of Art. In a world that often moves too quickly, Slow Looking encourages us to pause, observe, and discuss art in a meaningful way. Together, we’ll explore images of ancient Greek and Roman Art and Modern and Contemporary Art, uncovering hidden details, discussing historical context, and sharing personal interpretations. We'll also explore how to read an object label and where to find more information when exploring the Museum on your own. No prior art knowledge required! Art enthusiasts, history lovers, curious minds, and anyone who enjoys thoughtful conversation is welcome.
