Jr. Woodworkers will learn how to utilize a variety of tools to disassemble woodworking machinery for recycling.
Kids ages 9 to 18 are invited to join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where they’ll learn how to safely use hand tools to take apart old woodshop machines and discover how they work. Along the way, they’ll also learn about recycling and how to give new life to old materials. For everyone’s safety, closed-toe shoes are required, and all participants must have a completed Foundry Waiver and Safety Playbook on file. These forms can be picked up at the Service Desk or found online at https://www.pascolibraries.org/makerspaces/the-foundry/. Parents or guardians must complete the forms for minors, and all safety rules must be followed during the activity.
