Learn more complicated techniques for throwing pottery and making ceramics by hand as well as attempt ambitious projects in our Advanced Classes! Join us on Wednesday, February 4th from 5:30 to 7:30pm as well as on Sunday, February 8th from 1 to 3pm. Participants will learn specific techniques, tips, and tricks of creating forms on a pottery wheel with an emphasis on trimming as well as working with clay by hand. Items made in this program will need to be finished at a following glaze session.
Participants must wear closed toe shoes during the program.
You must be at least 16 years old to participate in any of our ClayWorks programs.
A copy of the Safety and Liability Waiver must be filled out prior to participating in the program. Blank copies of the waiver will be available at the beginning of the program for parents or legal guardians to fill out.
Participation in "ClayWorks Advanced Classes" is restricted to one class per participant per year.
Failing to attend a ClayWorks program you have registered for without contacting the Library will prohibit you from registering for another ClayWorks program for 30 days.
The Starkey Ranch TLC is located within the Starkey Ranch community and home to a theatre, several meeting and study rooms, and the Clayworks ceramics makerspace.
