Build on previous experience throwing pottery on a potter's wheel! Create your own custom piece of pottery over the course of 2 lessons.
Learn more about throwing and trimming pottery on a potter's wheel! Join us on Monday, September 15th from 3 to 5pm. Participants will learn specific techniques, tips, and tricks of creating forms on a pottery wheel. Safety and Liability waiver must be completed by the participant's parent or legal guardian prior to participating. Ages 8 to 18 are welcome. Participants will return two days later, on Wednesday, September 17th from 3-5pm to trim their pieces. Participants must be able to attend both sessions of this program.
Prior experience is required. This program is intended as a sequel to our "Pottery for Beginners" program. If you have not attended a "Pottery for Beginners" program at the library, please contact us and let us know about your prior experience.
The Starkey Ranch TLC is located within the Starkey Ranch community and home to a theatre, several meeting and study rooms, and the Clayworks ceramics makerspace.
