Teens and Tweens Chess Club at Starkey Ranch
Join our new Chess Club lead by Rick J. McKnight, where young minds come together to learn, play, and master the game of chess! Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, our club offers a welcoming environment for all skill levels.
What to Expect:
Interactive Lessons: Learn the basics of chess, including piece movements, strategies, and tactics, through fun and engaging lessons.
Practice Games: Put your new skills to the test with friendly matches against fellow club members.
Tournaments: Participate in exciting tournaments to challenge yourself and compete for cool prizes.
Mentorship: Receive guidance and tips from experienced chess players and coaches.
Social Activities: Make new friends and enjoy activities and discussions.
When and Where: Meetings are held every 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 3:00-5:00 PM in the Heron Room.
How to Join?: Just show up!
Age requirement: 9+
