Learn and improve your gardening skills with our Master Gardeners - today's topic is Bats & Your Garden
Worldwide there are more than 1,400 species of bats. That is about 20% of all mammal species. Bats live everywhere on Earth, except in the most extreme deserts and polar regions. Bats consume insects, pollinate plants and disperse seeds. A single bat can eat up to its body weight in insects each night and reduce the need for pesticides and fertilizers. Find out more about these fascinating creatures and how they help our gardens thrive.
