Learn more complicated techniques for throwing pottery and making ceramics by hand as well as attempt ambitious projects in our Advanced Class! Join us on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:30 to 7:30pm and Friday, September 4th from 1:00 to 3:00pm. Participants will learn specific techniques, tips, and tricks of creating forms on a pottery wheel as well as working with clay by hand with an emphasis on trimming pottery. Items made in this program will need to be finished at a following glaze session. Our glazing sessions this month are Friday, September 25th from 2:00 to 4:00pm, Monday, September 28th from 3:30 to 5:30pm, Tuesday, September 29th from 3:30 to 5:30pm, and Wednesday, September 30th from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Prior experience is required. This program is intended as a sequel to our "Pottery for Beginners" and "Intermediate Pottery" programs. If you have not attended a "Pottery for Beginners" program at the library, please contact us and let us know about your prior experience.
Due to high demand, ClayWorks programs now have limited registration. You are only eligible to register for one ClayWorks program per month.
Participants must wear closed toe shoes during the program.
You must be at least 16 years old to participate in this ClayWorks program.
A copy of our Safety and Liability waiver must be completed prior to the start of the program. Blank copies of the waiver will be available at the beginning of the program to fill out.
Failing to attend a ClayWorks program you have registered for without contacting the Library will prohibit you from registering for another ClayWorks program for 90 days.

The Starkey Ranch TLC is located within the Starkey Ranch community and home to a theatre, several meeting and study rooms, and the Clayworks ceramics makerspace.
