Come have some robot fun with RAIL (Robotics Advancement in Libraries), a hands-on robotics program where kids ages 8-12 can explore robotics through fun, interactive challenges.

Come have some robot fun with RAIL (Robotics Advancement in Libraries), a hands-on robotics program where kids ages 8-12 can explore robotics through fun, interactive challenges.
This program is for ages 8-12.
Participants will work in small groups and rotate through three activity stations:
- Line tracking Challenge - Create and experiment with paths for a robot to follow using its line-tracking sensors.
- Maze Programming Challenge - Program a robot to navigate through a maze using simple coding commands.
- Obstacle Course Navigation - Manually guide a robot through an obstacle course while testing navigation and control skills.
No prior robotics or coding experience is required. This beginner-friendly program encourages kids to experiment, problem-solve, work together, and discover different ways robots can sense, move, and respond.
Space is limited to 12 participants to ensure every child gets hands-on time with the robots. Registration is required.
RAIL was created by high school student Ana Thomas as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project to expand access to hands-on Stem and robotics learning through local libraries.

About the Library
The Centennial Park Library is off Moog Road in Holiday and home to the Loft Makerspace which focuses on studio arts. Also includes study & meeting spaces.
