Build on previous experience throwing pottery on a potter's wheel! Create your own custom piece of pottery.
Learn more about throwing pottery on a potter's wheel! Join us on Friday, May 1st from 3:00 to 4:55pm. Participants will learn specific techniques, tips, and tricks of creating forms on a pottery wheel. Items made in this program will need to be finished at a following glaze session. Our glazing sessions this month are on Wednesday, May 20th, Tuesday, May 26th, and Friday, May 29th.
Participants must wear closed toe shoes during the program.
You must be at least 16 years old to participate in this ClayWorks program.
A copy of the Safety and Liability Waiver must be filled out prior to participating in the program. Blank copies of the waiver will be available at the beginning of the program for parents or legal guardians to fill out.
Prior Experience is required! This program is intended as a sequel to our “Pottery for Beginners” programs. If you have not attended a "Pottery for Beginners" program at the library, please contact us and let us know about your prior experience.
Failing to attend a ClayWorks program you have registered for without contacting the Library will prohibit you from registering for another ClayWorks program for 30 days.
The Starkey Ranch TLC is located within the Starkey Ranch community and home to a theatre, several meeting and study rooms, and the Clayworks ceramics makerspace.
